A workshop on ‘Waste to Wealth’ held at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls

Batala (Avinash Sharma ) : Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Dr. Ritu Goswami, a workshop on the ‘Waste to Wealth’ was organized in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation, Batala. On this occasion, Dr. Birendar Shankar, the keynote speaker (Vice President Feedback Foundation) and Secretary Municipal Corporation Mr. Anil Arora and Mr. Ajay Kumar were present.

Sharing his views on the subject Dr. Birender Shankar stated that the garbage can be made useful and recycled by putting it into different coloured bins i.e. wet waste in green bins, dry waste in blue bins, biomedical in red bins and e-waste should be put in black bins. This bifurcation will be helpful in recycling the waste in an effective way and further added that we should start the procedure from our own homes for getting better success rates. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla also agreed with these views and urged the students to put these ideas into practice. On this occasion, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Ms. Ridhima and other non teaching staff and supporting staff was also present.
